crookie
Does anybody know of a suitable matt green spray paint for hide poles , magnets or cradles etc. I have tried several but they all seem to glossy ?
tiercel
Mix some some powderd chalk in with the paint it will be matt then. Spray the paint in to the lid add some chalk and use a brush to put it on the poles. And welcome to the forum.
Deako
I think Halfords do 'Blackboard' spray paint in green, it dries to a very dull matt. Costs about a fiver.

Cranfield
Does this stuff cover copper wire ? I,ve noticed quite a few of the cradles on my flappers are copper (coloured). I bought some Hammerite green and that doesn,t cover very well, sort of "slides" off. Wasn,t cheap either.
rjimmer
I think Halfords do 'Blackboard' spray paint in green, it dries to a very dull matt. Costs about a fiver. Perhaps it will tranform the £14.00 set of shiny ally poles, I bought at the Game Fair, into a £40.00 set!!!
Hammergun
Make sure you degrease before you apply. You need to use a primer first. That's why Cranfield's hammerite didnt stick. Etch primer is best on aluminium.

crookie
I have done some searching and found a land rover paint called LRC.298 or it goes under a british standard, 381C.298. I,ve go some mixed in a spray can by a local car auto parts shop and its spot on. They call it drab olive (matt green) it cost just under a tenner for a 400 ml can.Try it
1 of 5
Nick some of the missus' talc and stir that into any paint type you want. It'll give a very matt finish and is easier than clubbing the kids chalk with the wifes rolling pin.
yaloopy the pigeon watcher
I mix sunshine yellow and sky blue matt because they look like trees because the pigeons don't like things that are not trees becaause they are pigeons.
