It was a very enjoyable well organised shoot, I thought the targets were spot on and the ground was immaculate as always.

I think canthitathing was actually high gun as he said he counted 107 on his card. <_<

Our squad of Tosspot (S) - 83, Chard (N) – 82, PhilR (S) – 82, Timps - (N) – 81, canthitathing (N) 107 was a great close scoring squad to shoot with.

So glad I chose to shoot the O/U even though I chose to miss the easiest bird on the shoot twice in a row.

I actually got 152 until the ref pointed out I'd counted it twice

Thats typical of Alan....he's from Rotherham so its ok..

Ive heard he's adds his invoices up like that too...

That is a wicked rumour :o ....................But factually correct :D

I had a great day out too. I was shooting with El Magnifico Chard the victorious Northern capitano, Timps, Canthitathing (or add up) and Tosspot. I was extremely pleased to shoot the same score as Chard after warming up on the pool shoot and scoring a red faced 7 ex 25. When I get fed up trap shooting I might take up this sporting lark.

Well done to everyone in raising a great amount for charity again and thank you to Charlie and Linda at Orston SG for putting on a excellent shoot.

Just wanted to add to what has been already written, brilliant job everyone, loads of dosh raised for an excellent charity, it was great to meet so many of you, see some new faces and meet some old friends :good: Once the final total is known for sure it will be posted on the site, as it continues to come in, current standing is more than £3,500 which is incredible.

Congratulations to Ed for winning the shoot with a remarkable score, well done to pm274 for pushing it all the way to a shoot-off and special mention to Catamong who has won it the last two years and was just 1 away from the shoot-off.

Yesterday I didn't want to start mentioning names of everyone who has helped or assisted because I would have been speaking for ages. The black puddings and the oatcakes were a great idea, props to Iggy and Timps for them. Petethegeek for the third year in a row got an amazing website for the Shoot running, and uploaded the scores as soon as we were able to email them over. Special thanks to beardo, zapp and dunkield for all their help on the day, and all my friends in team goosehunter for their help with the raffle and setting things up. Nicky T for his advice prior to the day, and for another excellent April Fool which got the ball rolling for entries for the Charity Shoot this year, Huffhuff for the name badges and pin labels which worked a treat, and will definitely be repeated. Charlie, Linda and all the trappers at Orston clay ground who put on a fantastic shoot, at their very well run ground. I'd also like to thank Bakerboy - firstly for raising so much from the Norfolk flush - but also for giving up his time at the end of the shoot so that the representatives from Different Strokes were able to have a few shots each and smash some clays - that was really appreciated and can only be some excellent PR for shooting. Aside from this, thanks to everyone who donated items so generously to the charity raffle, for buying raffle tickets, donating on justgiving and for attending the shoot.

Only 364 sleeps to the next shoot...

The Herts boys were getting a bit of "using your hand to pat ejected cartridges into the bin" envy

I expect they have been practising this at home since Saturday ;)

No joke. I think snap caps were invented for this reason alone (what else are they any good for?!?)
