Luckyshot
A good lamp but they are quite big and clumbersome, stick with the 170.
Thedeerman
Whatever size you get, make sure it's variable. You will never go back to a fixed one!
steve_b_wales
Cluson Blaserlite. 2 million cp and excellent value for money. I've used mine for many trouble free years. You can also buy a bracket for it, to mount it to your scope.

tikka tom
was looking at the 240 because i lamp a lot of fell ground whats all you other lads useing
al4x
In that case I think you're on the right lines, many lamps claim a huge output but I'd guarantee put the cluson up against a 240 and it would look puny, not so important under white light but add a filter and there is a large difference. A dimmer is also fairly essential
washerboy
lightforce, brilliant if rewired.sadly there **** from the factory. lazerlight is my rabbit/fox lamp, low battery drain and secondary bulb
Deiseboy
was looking at the 240 because i lamp a lot of fell ground whats all you other lads useing The 240 is heavy and big and if there's any bit of wind its like a parachute holding it up. The 170 is a great lamp and the beam will pick out eyes at well past 600 yards.
wymberley
For sheer quality and reliability, I'm in the Clulite camp. However, for output (where necessary) it just has to be the 170.
