ayrshiretaxidermy
Lightforce 170 imho Im using a 170 as a hand held at the moment, but was thinking of something less cumbersome as a scope mount.

Bewsher500
I have a deben tri star pro LED with the lithium battery on the stock in a cheek bag its good out to 150-200yds on full power. getting it to point high enough was a challenge with high turrets
al4x
I'm yet to find anything lamp wise that works really well, you either have issues directing the beam, moderator glare and all manner of electrical glitches. The best way I found with a 170 was following robert bucknells technique of holding it under the rifle. But for that you need a decent rest, then I went to night vision and with an archer add on wonder why I didn't do it earlier as for the single 6" long add on it does all a lamp did and more. No battery packs easy to use up a high seat and obviously no spooked foxes.
Frenchieboy
If you find the Lightforce 170 a bit cumbersome have you tried the Lightforce 140 Scope mounted lamp? I use one and have not had any real issues with scope glare even with a moderator on.
