wildfowler.250
In order of what I'd go for: maxus, xtrema2, SX3. The first two would likely have to be second hand though
Yoggy
SX3
kent
Maxus and SX3 are basically the same action. I have used a SX3 for about three years, extensively on proper wildfowling- very pleased depends what suits you, it must feel right and fit
silver pigeon 3
Got to be the sx3 mate
wildfowler.250
depends what suits you, it must feel right and fit Exactly. I was weighing up maxus/sx3 and it was hard to split them. But when I had a thick jumper on,(i.e so it was similar to my shooting jacket) the maxus fitted better. That was how I mainly chose between them. jamesneale89
I have a maxus and I wish I got it a few seasons ago an absolute dream to shoot and the automising feature is awesome on pigeons where you can't get the carts in your hun quick enough and it is so simple to strip down to clean , you can pick up very good composite models from around £700 that have only had 200-300 carts through it , I put just over 320 shots through it decoying on pigeons last year and not one jam! I highly reccomend this auto an it's 3.5" STANDARD!!!!
pboro shot
I have around £800 to spend on a semi or wildfowling. Does any one have any recomendation??.... MANY THANKS Wildfowler325 if the list of guns you have is upto date id say you already have a good wildfowling gun "maxus" mine takes 3.5 carts so should cover any carts you need to use save the money
dan-250
Sorry but don't underestimate the hatsan as a semi, I always use mine now for clays, decoying, will be fowling with me this year. Your not bothered how mucky or bashed it gets as it was 300 smackers new. It's cycled 32's no hassle, I even had 21 gram 67 mm carts in it for my sister to use with no problems. So for fowling carts it'll be no problem at all. Steel and magnum proof, what more do you need. Just carry a spare o ring in your bag and jobs a good'en
jamesneale89
that was 320 in a day without jamming not over season just incas some of you thinking thats not much , didnt have one jam or a mis feed
Salop Matt
Benelli M2 - no gas parts to clog up ! light pointable reliable and 3.5 chamber ! Although if there was any fear of ever dropping it or loosing it in water then i would get a cheap hatsan and then not cry if it was lost to the sea ! chrispti
Benelli M2 - no gas parts to clog up ! light pointable reliable and 3.5 chamber ! Although if there was any fear of ever dropping it or loosing it in water then i would get a cheap hatsan and then not cry if it was lost to the sea ! Out of the 3 autos mentioned above, I have never heard of the gas ports clogging up to the extent of the gun not working Benelli M2, they are light, kick like a mule, as reliable as a hatsan and the M2 has a 3" chamber, NOT a 3.5" Edited July 30, 2012 by chrispti
