Psyxologos
I have just built my new desktop PC. I thought I splash out a bit, as my previous computer cost £1200 6 years ago and lasted me well. This time I allowed myself to spent £1600 (just for hardware and OS, peripherals are still to be decided), so here is what I did. four-wheel-drive
So what you planning to use it for gaming or have you got a BR franchise to run.
markyw
Nice spec. Bought myself a Chillblast at Christmas of roughly equivalent spec. then and have been very pleased with it. Mine has 24GB RAM as I run a lot of virtualised test labs (geek!) and such like and a Z68 series motherboard so I use the 64GB SSD as an in-line cache for the 2TB main drive. Enjoy! fat_jay
Wow! I have no idea what any of that means, but I assume that with all that technology the dirty pictures will load quicker? ;0)
Psyxologos
@DSPUK, DAZZA: I will upload pictures once all the stuff is here. I just bought all that from various on line retailers, after putting the specs together at pcspecialists. I made a moderate saving of around £300 from their price. Not massive, but it is something. @fat_jay: Indeed... I intend to use the pc for HD video editing (I need to learn a lot) and -moderate- gaming, but also for work as well as web browsing and communications. I just wanted a very powerful machine to see me through for another few years. I do not change PC often, so I believe that by buying the best I can afford I am kind of future proofing. @ four wheel drive: what is a BR franchise?
