30-6
Can hypa flaps be rough handled ( as in stuffed in your bag ), or do they need to be handled with kid gloves ? I am thinking of getting a pair to start the day off when i decide to go on the spur of the moment, to put on the rotary or bouncers - do they work well on bouncers ? Are they really that good ? Edited to add - I got a pair of the foam winged ones, tried them on the rotary and the bouncers and in a nutshell find them rubbish. In a word - No. *IF* you remove the carbon spar that is used to hold the wings in place you can fold them up, wrap an elastic band around them and carry them in a bag but although they do say they are "tear" proof and tough they do need to be treated carefully...... And dont lose the spars! "Are they really that good?" Yes they can be. Next best thing to dead birds. You can use them as bouncers as long as you can attach them to your "bouncer" rod/ground stake in a way that will keep them in the correct upright position. Get some, you wont be sorry. Hope this helps. DaveL

I have a pair on permanent loan and use them until I have a couple of birds with nice wings and then put them on the cradles. They work quite well but with heavy gusts of wind they react strangely compared to a dead bird on a cradle. It is the wing bars that show up, so I tend to tip the bird a little more and walk back a good distance to see how well they show up. deny essex
Had mine for 5 years use and abuse , been shot, squashed ,trod on and most things you would exspect , a little maintainance now and then (but they still look a state) and as mentioned the spars can easily be lost or broken. As much as mine need pensioning off they still work and do the business on the right day on bouncer or rotary.
Cosd
They are tougher than they seem. Next best thing to real birds in my opinion. Only down side is they ain't much good on the rotary on a very windy day. Great bit of kit and worth the outlay. Cos
30-6
Asking because at the end of a decoying session i usually stuff everything in the bags and sort it out the next day, due to tiredness, hunger or whatever.
Cranfield
Mine are used most days a week and are just put in the back of my truck fully made up , with the rest of my gear. They are (obviously) quite light, so I make sure they are on top of everything else, but thats about it. They work so well, I never bother changing them for dead birds. sitsinhedges
I fold the wings back over the body with the carbon spar still attached and fix with an elastic band. The spars spring back straight even if left like this for weeks and they're not to awkward to store like this.
