Was this some form of funeral haka or the same haka you see at a rugby match? It the latter then is it really appropriate? I thought that was meant to be a challenge to the opposition whereas they were receiving their comrades back home.

The Haka has many forms ,it can be performed by men women and children. and hs a wide variety of forms ranging from simple amusement ,welcoming visitors or celebrating achievments occasions or as in this case funerals.
