im a manager in my job and im only just above world average which is just above uk average, which isnt much above uk minimum wage... but money has never ruled my life and i love my job (most days) so im happy.... i mean where else can you skive of work early with your boss to go pick up your new gun then go play with it :)

WOW i am glad you care so much to check ;)

 

Your numbers did not add up in compariosn with my own, which I chose not to publish, so I double checked my own which again proved correct. I was merely pointing out either a typo in your post or an error with the site in the link. Anyway I see you corrected your figures. Happy to be of service ;-)

If you search around you can find several average salary calculations.

Some are just the average of all full time employees.

Some divide the full amount declared to the tax man divided by the full population.

Some eliminate the bottom or top or both few % to avoid skewing the numbers.

Some factor in part time work, maternity pay, holidays, sick days, bonuses.

Some do everything in between.

 

I’ve seen average salary calculations that read from £17k a year up to £30k a year.

 

How do I measure it?

If you can afford quilted loo roll then you’re doing alright.

Quite and this one doesn't consider a large number of countries, particularly third world - probably because "reliable" data does not exist there - so hardly a world average.
