Raja Clavata
3 years ago today Obama, Brown and Sarkozy issued a joint statement at a G-20 summit accusing Iran of building a secret nuclear enrichment facility. Today, Obama is hoping that Israel do not launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran prior to the US elections but is thankful that it would not have such an impact as it could if his oppponent in the elections was a bit more credible than Romney. Dr_Scholl
The Vikings and Stamford bridge had far greater effect than just a simple battle next to the Derwent, 1066 That they did. Fighting at Stamford Bridge and Fulford depleted the Anglo-Saxon forces (Harold was about 1,000 huscarls short), and contributed to the English defeat at Hastings. Marching 240 miles in 4 days didn't help either.
