webber
First syndicate shoot 13th October then fortnightly after that. I'm also shooting by invitation near Warrington on 20th. October. I've shot there previously it a small but cracking shoot, run by the members for the members, although they do sell a couple of days to offset some of their costs. Our syndicate returned 40% last year, it will be interesting to see if we can do any better this season. Straight and safe shooting to all. PhilR
Our syndicate shoot starts on 13th Oct. The pheasants have done really well despite the dreadful weather when had back in July when they were delivered. A pity our cover crops haven't grown as well as expected, carp weather again. Our farmer very kindly gave us several extra areas to use for cover crop but we couldn't get them sown with mustard until he harvested the wheat which was very late, hopefully with this mild weather it'll put a spurt on and next season we'll be able to get a mix suitable for ELS in early. Only a week to go.
Millomite
Got a 150 bird day at Ripley Castle booked for next Friday, then our syndicate starts fortnightly the week after. Can't wait to get started
otherwayup
Our first day is the 6th. They need another month really, so doubt too many pheasants will be shot. Well I shot like a ****. Hope others did better.
Thunderbird
Went for a few walks on a place I shoot where pheasants are known to hang out. Saw loads pre-1st, have been twice since 1st and not a whiff of one. A few days before the first there were about 15 milling around. Typical. ste eibar
Our first day is the 20th oct. We do driven pheasant and partridge one week and duck's the following week. So that's my weekend's sorted until the end of the season. We do some roost shooting at the end of the season to reduce the number of crow's, had some of my favorite day's at this. Can't wait count down in day's left to work 10.
