telf
get some business cards printed, knock on doors explain what your after and leave a card with the farmer and say anything would be gratefully appreciated.Be prepared for plenty of "no sorry got someone doing the shooting",but perservia you will get something in the end atb dave

On yer bike and face to face but NEVER in shooting dress (except for a BASC badge where it can be seen) or at meal times. Also try beating as an 'in'. dougall
look at it from landowners/farmers point of view...why should they want you shooting on their land? Is it crops?do they have chickens?...what will you do for them? Always face to face if possible,if you have to write be specific''I saw lots of pigeons eating your young rape'' etc.. The I just fancy shooting a bit will get you no where and it is what business cards/unsolicited letters look and feel like..atb
