henry d
Top up the bedding and thaw the water bottle daily they thrive in the colder weather.

Cranfield
Make sure the hutches are dry and the sleeping area free of draughts. henry d's comment on keeping their water unfrozen, is most important. The new jill should be OK to be introduced to your current jills, but I do not like to keep hobs and jills together. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=22445

Ferretboy111
I tend to change their bedding from, shedded paper in the summer, to old clean shirts and t shirts in the winter, gets roasting in them they love it. Alex

Evilv
OOPS - I thought you just shove em doon yer troosers in the winter? I had a mean old hob once upon a time. If you'd put him doon yer troosers, you'd have been peeing in ten directions like a watering can ever after. Nip? he nipped me to the bone on several occasions. Ferret Master
I use fleeces. Mum bought an XL sized one in a sale in GAP for £1.99. It keeps the ferrets nice and warm, In Summer they lay on top of it. In winter they nestle down in it or in the sleeves. I often find all 3 in one sleeve. Cranfield
FM's story about his ferrets up the fleece sleeve, brought back some memories. I had five young ferrets all about 4 months old, escape from their "nursery" hutch which was in a shed. My first thought was that they had got out of the shed and so I spent hours searching the garden. My springer was paying a lot of attention to an old duffel coat that was laying on some boxes in the shed and when I looked, all five of them were asleep in the hood. One of those Kodak moments, when you don't have a camera.
