Peskyfoxs
Might be a daft question but are foxs put off by the smell of dogs ? I have had 2 fox dens near the farmhouse but in a place I can't shoot, would adding a large amount of soiled sawdust to the heap keep them Out ? Thinking it will kill 2 birds with one stone .. Stop foxes living near my poultry and give me somewhere to get rid of loads of sawdust/ dog muck.

Grandalf
No - We had a fox earth under the dog kennel when I was a lad. They'd dug in from the other side of the fence and were rearing their litter underneath the yard guard dog! Got to be more than scent to put them off I reckon. Peskyfoxs
Thought that would be the case, just had one try to dig into the chicken run 12 ft away from 6 German shepherds ! Thought the smell might just make them live further away
Paul in North Lincs.
I hear that certain garden centres sell lion dung.....it is understood that phemanones trigger subliminal fear in predators which keeps them away. How effective it is on foxes I do not know but it may be worth researching further. ;-
