Franchi Harrier
Well, after a good few hours spent flooring part of the loft and reinforcing the loft door. I've now been able to also purchase and install the replacement Brattonsound ST7. All of this was part of the approval process and tomorrow is the second visit to hopefully pass me finally after 18 weeks has passed since application being received. Really keen to have this signed off now and get my first shotgun I reserved some weeks ago. The poor dealer must be getting miffed off with it collecting dust when no doubt he could of sold it five times over by now! Will update this tomorrow with what I'm told by the FEO. neil3728
Good luck then, You mean yours actually make appointments, when they came to see the cabinet in place and issue me with my certificate, they just arrived. Scared the **** out of me two police officers banging on the front door at 8.30 at night.
Franchi Harrier
She gave the impression all is well. She's taken some pictures of the safe and loft to show her manager and hopes to have it signed off. She said it was her manager who signs it all off so just to wait and see if I get a call to either improve more on what I've done or get the certificate sent to me without further delay. Really good advice given too to help benefit the application. Now the wait for either a call or the certificate! Times ticking! parapilot
It ifs refused get a qualified locksmith to do a security assessment / report. Correct any none bs or insecure areas then get basc involved sending them the report. We advise police and cpo's so it would stand in good stead and show your not going to accept it sitting down!! Franchi Harrier
Just chased notts police again as its nearly 2 weeks. Discovered SGC awaiting authorisation in a pile going nowhere so asked if they could sign off today (manager was in to sign too)? Got it signed off and able to collect later tonight. Just shows you do need to chase them like every couple of weeks to bring your application to the top of the pile! I will now be able to buy my new shotgun on Saturday and go clay bashing on Sunday. Lets hope the weather is better than it has been recently. Anyone else out Saturday in Nottingham able to show a newbie a few pointers? kyska
This sounds a nightmare mate, I've just moved about half a mile but I'm now in Notts, we moved in June and Notts FEO only came out last week to look at my cabinet, nearly 5 months after moving!! They've taken my certs for address change, I'll be kicking up a fuss if they take anywhere near like your wait! Its all so crazy, I virtually got re-interviewed, I only want the bleddy address changing on my certs! I know it appears like you've waited an eternity, and been on the business-end of an interminable amount of being dicked about, but you're on track now and clear to buy your gun! Well done and enjoy your shoot on Sunday Edited to add: Oh, and I've have a Franchi Dominator - they're great guns.
