Went out last night after this fox, i been after it for a long time  , it will not whistle up  and i have tryed lots , it is very lamp shy :sad1:

I know my land very well we drove round the headge and spotted him right down the far end of the field about 600 yards , stop the jeep tryed to whistle him up he just sat there :hmm:

its a very long field and very wet so i did not want to drive round it to much, so plan B (if there was 1 ha ha ) i got out of jeep put my roll mat down, my m8 drove the jeep back round the headge, the plan was to make charlie think we have gone(i know we are mad :lookaround: ) and we both waited

Right plan B got the NV out and watch him,he started to move about getting closer and closer i put the light on very dim he stop at about 300 yard this was going to be my best go so i sent one bang 1 dead charlie :good: :good: was so happy

I walked down to find him and pace it out 315 furthest id shot one to date :good:

My set up is a Winchester .22-250 70 (Sporter) Bushnell 8x16x50 and a jim baker mod Rem 50 gr V-MAX home load

Well done, i was out on saturday with Pykie of here and shot 6 of the blighters one in particular that he has had difficulty with always in the same place and wont come to a call (pykie only shoots a shottie) saw the fox's eye in the light and it would not look back managed to pick himout with the scope walking towards the wood, shouted at him and he stopped and looked for a brief second which was all i needed sent a 55 grain Vmax and dropped him on the spot, well chuffed and the furthest id shot one to date paced it out to 280 paces!!! :good:
