MG6065
Hi, just a quick one, please excuse my ignorance. I've got a 22lr and 17hmr slots on my firearms but currently I only only the 22lr, but where do I stand buying 17hmr ammo even though I don't process the gun? Main reason I ask is I used a lot of my mates 17hmr the other night and would like to buy him a box or two to say cheers and to replace them, I'd rather give him the ammo than just give him money, where do I stand ? Thanks a lot
al4x
Interesting one, you have the authority to buy / posses so I guess fine but you will need to sign it over to him so you can show where it has gone.
steve_b_wales
As above. Just buy some ammo, and then enter it on your friends certificate as a 'gift'.

Agreed I'm sure its fine, I sell rifles on a whim to try another manufacterer but keep the ammo without a gun.

Good shot?
When you sign ammo over to mate just ensure limit he can hold is not exceeded, just a thought...
V8 90
I'd just go to your local RFD with him & treat him to them there - that way they can go straight on his FAC easy peasy & I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
delburt0
Just bung your mate a pint or 2 or do the driving etc can't see the point in buying 2 lots of ammo or 2 trips to the rfd, and I prefer mine to come out of the same box.. Thanks a lot You can buy whatever ammo is on your FAC, you don't have to own the gun for it, you just need the listing on your FAC for the ammo you buy. Transferring the ammo to his FAC is the way to do it. BUT, I'd simply make sure I used all my ammo in his gun, if you follow me!
