fenman99
Now Jake's left the BBC-F1, i think next season is going to be pretty much unwatchable whoever the beeb get. Coulthard the ex driver & Eddie the has-been & the old man in the pits are Not sports presenters Martin & Jake were & this season showed it. Coulthard wonders round the grid lost, cannot find anyone & no-won wants to talk with him. We have lost the Shoe days when beeb was at its best. What NOW for F1 fans who wont pay Sky's ripoff prices now the beeb has dumped us? fenman99

four-wheel-drive
I have lost interest in it as they say that it starts say at 12 then we have hours of chatting to anyone that moves then you get the race and the one that wins is obliged to scream like a little girl. The one thing that I like about the American car racing if it has not changed the cars that they drive are real cars with clutches and gear ***** and do not have computers controlling everything. F1 cars may be faster but they are more akin to playing computer games than driving also people will now go on about bikes that is even more boring a load of people who have lost the will to live sitting on a big engine with two wheels what the hell is that about. FalconFN
God, I love a computer that could do that! Dated American cars racing around ovals...yawn....
four-wheel-drive
God, I love a computer that could do that! Dated American cars racing around ovals...yawn.... Save up your pennies and you could buy a F1 last years model but then after about 3000 miles they are worn out most parts only last for three races. Ovals are boring F1 the fastest car wins the second fastest comes second etc etc unless you get crashed in to like ham did on sunday the next step with F1 is to lighten the cars even more by doing away with drivers they can sit in front of a computer and drive them its happening with fighter gets so why not cars. -Mongrel-
...bikes, that is even more boring, a load of people who have lost the will to live sitting on a big engine with two wheels, overtaking and outbraking each other often several times per lap, and that's not the whole grid, that's just two bikes, the rest of the grid will be doing similar. Ripping up the straights at over 200 mph, before scrubbing off 140 of that to get around a corner on a machine leaning at 50 degrees or more, with the riders knees and elbows touching the tarmac. Huge controlled drifts and powerslides, what the hell is that about? No idea mate, sounds almost as boring as snooker on the telly to me. As soon as sky get involved with a sport it stops being about the fans and spectators it then becomes all about the money.Look at football, sky dictates when a game will be played to enable them to broadcast it,now you get a game almost every night of the week ,if you want to pay them .Meantime you pay the BBC through your licence to have a full crew at every race and you don't see it live ? great ,just great
shaun4860
Thing is, Sky put the F1 programmes in the Sky sports section for a reason... This year it has been free, next year may be free, but sooner rather than later you will pay... They didn't pay squillions just to give it away for nothing. Mark my words, it WILL go into the sports package eventually... Me?, i'm sticking to the beeb, sky always over egg things. BBC coverage is more than good enough for me, Will be interesting to see who they replace Jake with though, I thought the 3 (4 including Lee) of them did a good job, light hearted. I actually got to see 1 of sky's races this year when hey had a "free" weekend, too many gadgets that didnt seem to help any more than what the beeb has. Just my opinion of course and others will disagree, but that's what makes it fun, if we all liked the same things, life would be boring Edited November 27, 2012 by shaun4860
neil3728
I have sky and have watched all the races this season on sky. Must admit they do drag the coverage on abit. I now find out the start time of the race and then turn up just before So i see the start. The coverage is good and some of the behind the scenes stuff is really interesting.
