New Shooter Exeter

Just saying hi to everyone from here in Exeter.

Cabinet on wall, licence agreed and waiting for delivery, gun shopping awaiting :)

Now all I need is somewhere to start lessons.

Have to say, so far from all the hobbies I have had in my life, shooting has been the least forthcoming with free advice and help, enough so, that one of the three of us that started this 10 weeks ago has already dropped out because of it.

I wonder how many more people have not continued because of the same issues ?

Anyway, Hi, and if you know someone local to Exeter who gives good professional lessons and / or good gun buying advice, please shove em my way :)

Wez.

In my experience, once you join a club and people start recognising you; then most shooters will gladly help, although some 'coaching' is less than useful!

Where have you been shooting that hasn't been helpful?

With regard to local coaching, Tony at Ashcombe is good for the basics!

welcome for the forum, don't give up before you start. I'm also new and agree with Hacker, people are great once they know you aren't just having a one off go! I have had lots of help from fellow shooters and coaches alike. I also follows that everyone on the forum with chip in with help if you ask for it. They may sometime have a go at you but that's all part of the learning process. I can't be much use at the moment with your questions as you're out of my area. But keep going - you won't reget it.
