fuzzypigeon Posted December 15, 2012 Report Share Posted December 15, 2012 went out on a rape field today had a total of 12 shots ended up with 2 pigeon and a magpie. the pigeons just havent started hitting the rape on this farm at all, but the 2 pigeons i got were very healthy looking birds!! will have to see what they were feeding on. anyone else got untouched rape still?? Batch Posted December 18, 2012 Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 Had a sucessful weekend for a change, not taht I get out that much! Shooting friend had 73 off rape on Saturday, I joined him on Sunday on some winter wheat drillings and we knocked down over 70 between us in a few hours. Was nice to get out and consider myself quite lucky to have bagged up like that, but could have been better as my shooting was terrible, pretty rusty at the mo. Numbers are pretty good in some parts of Herts at the moment, hopefully they will still be there should I secure a golden pass from SWMBO over the festive period?!
