Hatsans also have an O ring which if faulty or incorrectly positioned will cause cycling problems?, I'm sure an owner will come along soon and help me with advice whats the best way to clean it ? whats the best oil to use? when putting it back togeather OR use grease? Any other help with it would be great Thanks mark Edited January 1, 2013 by markws80

Imperfection
Rod the barrel first with a bronze brush to remove stubourn marks then with a patch soaked in whatever brand of bore cleaner you've bought until its clean. I tend to use either ParkerHale 009 which does smell a bit funky or Bisley bore cleaner which is actually a fantastic cleaner for very little money. With a new patch add a few drops of oil and pop it through the barrel a few times.Poke a cotton bud into both gas vents to ensure they're clean also (make sure you do this bit last otherwise you'll just be putting muck back into the holes when rodding it). Clean the bolt with same bore cleaner. Remove O ring and gas piston.Clean the magazine tube and piston, lightly oil and reassemble gun. moor man
Once I have the gun stripped (as above)I place all parts neatly on newspaper in order (easier to reassemble first time) Spray tube, piston and barrel with cleaner inside and out (PH 009 or similar) get a few scrunched up balls of newspaper, approx 1/2 page size and stuff in barrel. Dont forget to clean choke tube and threads. This removes worst of the fouling then phospher bronze brush if needed, mop then finish with a piece of oiled rag...done. Make sure the twin gas ports mid barrel are clean with pipe cleaner. Wipe off bolt, clean piston and tube thoroughly then reassemble, oiling lightly. Check condition of piston washer, replace if needed. Once a season I strip trigger and bolt, clean out crud and reassemble. The design of the escort is simple and with basic maintainence should give you trouble free service. Cheers moor man.
BerettaSV10
Semiautolee's clips below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJZ1HVN7CX0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPunxtYPKhM Watch out for some clips as the vids show them putting the O ring on after they have put barrel on, this is incorrect, the O ring goes on after the gas plug and before the barrel. Semiauto ....Film clips very good however ....When refitting trigger unit ...make sure the two pins are fitted from the left hand side of action( Opposite side from the ejector side ) ..... Why? because the carrier pins ( Tubes ) have a slot and spring clips on the ejector side and if not lined up.... its very easy to break off the ends of tubes if you try to force in the two pins from the ejector side.
