I used to use the top one. Very good quality and rubberised netting and camo material. A bit bulky and heavy

The bottom one looks a bit naff. Looks like the old army stuff

Try this stuff___camo netting___ Nice a light weight. Hog rings to back netting. Loops sewn in to attach to hide ploes

£18 for a good sized piece

Or you can buy the stealth which is very good

The stealth stuff is fantastic, extremely light and really squashes down to take almost no space. It is pricey for what it is though (compared to the army stuff) and if it has a fault its with direct sunlight falling on it from the front, I have found you get very obvious dark silhouettes visible though it which can spook quarry..

Being a squaddie i can answer this mate:

- Dont get a string net, ensure it is nylon, the string one is heavy and will rot

- you can get "scrim" squares/triangles, these are green on one side and brown on the other, so you can break up the pattern on your net if you get a plain one.

good luck, any questions then PM me.

as yer man above says go for the newer nylon netting if you can get it (will cost more) when adding patches dont put em on square, always scrunch them up and then rip them into odd shapes and patterns- much more effective, however there is loads of the old string type about which has the benefit of looking weathered and will blend in more with the surroundings - weight shouldnt be an issue when wet your not camming up a Bedford or chally and dont need a full section for a 1-2 man hide.

Ebay seems expensive try surplus stores or the dodgy market staffs at blackbush if your ever that way.

Same as Heppy im a squaddie, ive spent years restling with the old type netting if you have some top tip! wrap it round your mother in law or burn it,go get the new stuff or better still the civvi stuff. :good:

Lol nice one! We used to use huge nets to cam our recce rovers which were a pain in the a**e to put up and weighed an absolute ton when wet

Ive just ordered some hide poles and some 2ply stealth netting. Cant wait to try it out :(
