phil moss
Cant beleive that BFGoodrich dont do 265/70R15's A/T for the Ford Ranger Super Cab, any body used a alternative . Its 54 plate model with standard alloys !!! Tyres must be hard wearing, hence the reason for wanting the BFG's
V8 90
Can't you just fit 265/75/15's ? I'm going to fit 265/75/16's on my Shogun Sport later this year - it's on 245/70/16's at present.
al4x
V8 that's because they are cheaper, I've gone to 245's on my l200 no speedo error and improves economy slightly. For the op check out the size 31 x 10.5 x 15 they are within 3% of the original size and I'm fairly sure you can get BFG's in that size Edited January 17, 2013 by al4x
Guest
just put 2 new tyres on shogun 265/70/r15 £90 each Bargain
four-wheel-drive
You may find this helpful just put in the size you have and the next size up and at the bottom it will tell you if your speedo is affected. http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/4x4_tyre_size_tool.php?osCsid=0n753nl96l454sglbl2falf034

White Lodge
I had the same problem and I went for the General Grabber AT2. They are the same tread as the Bfg.

Blunderbust
Just had 4 x Yokohama Geolander A/T-S to my Hilux double cab in 255/70 R15, £94 each fully fitted through Black Circle. They are a cracking tyre, not loud on the road and get a great B rating for the handling on wet tarmac. Unfortunately with everything they have a downfall in that they have a G rating for fuel econemy. I still think they were worth it though. Gutty Boots
General Grabber A/T's currently on my Ranger, no complaints yet on or off road. far better than the Bridgestone Duellers that were on it when I got it.
Dr_evil
Maxxis, not a fan of BFG after writing a few off when offroading Would suggest them as they're good if not Toyo Can also go for Mickey T's, Cooper or Hankook
White Lodge
@ al4x. Arent they? That's what I was told by the chap who fitted them.
al4x
Nope pretty different the at2's are fine just not quite up to the Bfg but then the cost isn't the same. I've had both now and can't really make up my mind which to have next
Gilberts1989
Get your self some insa turbo special tracks http://www.tyrewizard.co.uk/4x4-tyres-c1/16-c3/insa-turbo-special-track-265-75-r16-112q-tyre-p3311#3311 I haven't got stuck since I fitted them 6 months ago, and believe me I've tried. My winch doesn't like them though as it doesn't get used any more
al4x
You would successfully ruin the truck for road use with them on
four-wheel-drive
They are not exactly cheep considering that they cast offs with new tread glued on to them ie ( Remoulds ) ok for off road I suppose but I would not want to use them on a daily driver. Gilberts1989
I know someone that has been running his for years on special tracks with no problem, the wear rate is not bad at all. They are £383 for 4 from paddock spares in 265/75/16. I use my disco as a every day car, as well as using it to do the feeders and then take it to a pay and play off road day. Performs well in all 3 roles. The keeper has got BFG muds on his defender and has got stuck were i haven't. They are the be all and end all of all tyres (as long as you don't like to go over 65 mph) as far as I'm concerned Edited January 25, 2013 by Gilberts1989
al4x
The 65mph is the issue with anything decent, my at2's weren't much more than that and you get a new tyre not a remould
cockercas
The 65mph is the issue with anything decent, my at2's weren't much more than that and you get a new tyre not a remould But the AT2's are all terrain are they not? The ones in the link are muds.
houlsby
I run insa turbos on my l200 and there brilliant offroad. Noisy on road mind.. But predictable, had some good fun snow'drifting' the other night :-)

cockercas
Exactly the op was after at's You only want muds if you spend more then 80% of your time off road. They wear down to quick on road. A/Ts i carnt comment on. Ive only had mud tyres.

They aren't remolds. Remolds have this bad press for falling apart and blowing out, now maybe a few years ago they did but now eu testing is so strict, it's unheard of. I know you want AT's but they are pretty useless as off road tyres (like the title says that there intended use is for). mine are a bit extream for everyone to be fair, but the insa turbo Dakar are a good tread and not too aggressive or noisy but still have the capability
Parkinson1992
Like phill miss I'm have trouble with my ranger, believe the 31x10.50 r15s will fit nicely but now I'm struggling to find 15" steels Can I go up a rim size and take an inch of the tyre size?
