aris
Amazon.com (not co.uk) were doing them for less than £40 delivered (incl. all duty/taxes). £30 quid if you buy them in the US. I may pick up a pair when I go in a few months.
Guest
The seller will most probably transfer money to another account and close account down attached to PayPal account. Then PayPal can't recover the money

Amazing price! £30 quid if you buy them in the US. I may pick up a pair when I go in a few months. Bring back a few and sell them on, end up getting a pair for free!! aris
How does that work with paypal's buyer protection? https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/buyer-protection "Please note the following eligibility requirements applicable to eBay listings: Look for either a PayPal Buyer Protection message or an eBay Buyer Protection message in the eBay listing. If you see this message and you meet the other eligibility requirements, your item is eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection. You can view this message in the listing after you complete your purchase by logging into your eBay account, going to “my eBay,” then “won”, and looking at the listing. If the listing does not include the buyer protection message, then it is not eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection."

aris
I would mail eBay and ask.
Guest
Ok, that's part of the scam. They send you an empty (or put something bogus in there) envelope recorded delivery, show proof of delivery to PayPal, and they are in the clear. I have heard of this before. correct

steve_b_wales
I'm in the process of getting my refund. Not sure why, but I have to wait 8 days (ends on 4th Feb) for the seller to respond! Then, I will get a refund. I asked Ebay why others have already received their money back, and told him that we all placed an order the same time, but he could'nt answer that. Anyway, as soon as the 4th Feb, expires, I'll get my money back.
Beardo
did you put in a complaint as soon as the seller disappeared?
steve_b_wales
did you put in a complaint as soon as the seller disappeared? Yes. I had an email off Ebay the next morning after I placed the order, telling me that the sellers details have been removed, and then opened up a case with Ebay. I don't mind waiting a few more days, I just wanted Ebay to explain why I have to wait, while other's have received their refunds after ordering the same time as me. Ebay then sent an email asking if I wanted to take the claim to the next level and when I responded yes they agreed my claim straight away.
