Gents,

Unfortunally due to some very helpfull wildfowlers members, I have contracted the deadly wildfowl flu.

Now I need to try to keep myself dry...lol....my last taster flight with GWA, was great, although I discovered that wasn't a great idea to sit on the muddy banks under the belting rain, with a normal pair of trousers and pjs underneath. I knew of my error in judgement in clothing, as soon I couldn't feel my lower region no more...and that was withing 10 minutes of sitting down...lol.

Could you please suggest a pair of trouser or over trousers that would be suitable for sitting down on muddy banks, I have seen some on ebay in camo, ranging between £10 - £25 Gbp.

I need something cheapish for the time been, a friend of mine is travelling to USA and I will buy some better clothing from Cabelas this summer.

Ty for all the help that you can give

Mark

Hi Mark

Fishing tackle shops usually have very reasonable priced clothing, and for some reason always seem cheaper than shooting shops. I bought lightweight waterproof Realtree over jacket and trousers for £40, and you can buy them seperately too. These fold down small and you wear them over any clothing. I usually carry the jacket during the summer where I don't want a heavy coat and just slip it on when it starts raining.

Another option is to go to an army surplus store, I picked up a pair of waterproof (cloth) over trousers brand new for £15. To be fair that was about 4 years ago but I doubt the prices have changed much.

Good luck

I got mine from local stores, Oakwood fishing tackle shop and the Army surplus store in Crewes Hill. Both of these types of stores are scattered everywhere so I'd look local to you and pop in there. With clothing I like to feel things and try them on, so I rarely purchase from the net....

PS

I like the avatar picture by the way :good: :good: :good:

The Essex boys are always making gay gestures, so I see no harm in a little 'man love' from time to time

I'm also eager to get a response from the breeder, lets hope I haven't missed the boat this time round as her dogs look amazing!! I'll keep you posted.

I just put a green bag in the game bag....and from now on stay's there....if I forget the game bag....will mean no shooting for me, because cartridges are inside too.
