al4x
Training is a must with Paterdales I know 2 and they can't be walked off the lead as they just clear off hunting. So the answer is they make great hunting dogs you just need to work to make sure they come back

Paul in North Lincs.
Hopefully @ 6 months old it hasn't picked up some bad habits that could be hard to shift...was it a working dog or a loved pet? You may find if its been pampered that it may not have that killer instinct that working breeds have...I once took on a wippet of that sort of age for rabbiting......I couldn't do any thing with it!!..Much better to get a pup.. a blank canvass so to speak. Elite Trigger
gamekeeper has got it for foxing a young black bitch in your dreams pavman :( the dog was neglected of the first owners, just left on its own so am told, then my GFs mate took it on, but now for certain reasons she cannot keep him.. so he is being brought down to mine tomorrow.. i have not seen him but my GF has and am told he is very lively and likes to chew stuff. i want to change his name, is this possible atall? i would think so as he is only still a pup? but i dont really no enough! also age what age are they fully grown patterdales? I suppose the correct way to address the said item would be a unidirectional metalic and organic based item for the removal of compacted substances . all the best yis yp
