TaxiDriver
Just received a message via the contact/enquiry form on my website, which said, "Comments: You could do with a few lessons on spelling and grammar. Your website contains spelling mistakes which leads unprofessional representation of your business. The company I recommend you to use for these sessions are: http://www.kipmcgrat...46220589248750" Am right or wrong thinking this is a somewhat rude way to approach potential customers/offer their services ? and slightly ironic that their attention to grammatical detail seems to be lacking in a couple of places ? Edited for typo's Edited February 11, 2013 by TaxiDriver
hedge
Patronising and sarcastic. Not a good way to impress a potential customer.....
harrycatcat1
I wouldn't feel too special or targeted as I bet they send them out to everyone just hoping someone will take them up on their services
NIGHT SEARCHER
Send a message back telling them to go forth and multiply. Or to shove it up there insulting and criticizing backdoor.
Brown Sauce
Delete the comment and ignore. It seems like a shameless attempt at piggy backing on your site, for free advertising!
Pushkin
On the other hand might it help you bring in more trade? Pushkin
Reece
I've had messages like that. Just ignore them. It's only spam.
Mungler
This is well funny for so many reasons. From reading that website it appears that Kip McGrath only tutor children and thus the comment left on your website is not advertising spam issued by Kip McGrath. I really do hope you didn't send Kip McGrath a ranting email... As I said, well funny for so many reasons I think the answer to everything is a spell checker.... and so the great spelling debate enters round 42,543. Discuss. ME
Edited for typo's Sorry. I literally let out a little bit of wee reading this whole thread. The "Edited for typo's" just caused me to have a laughter induced coughing fit. Ironytastic!
Diceman
Colette Roxby from Kip McGrath could do with learning the correct use of the word "myself" in a sentence if she wants to be taken seriously as an English tutor... I'm a right pedant, me myself
