if your using the 501b torch mate you will only need one scope mount, you will not need to change the torch just change the droppin if you need to change the led , its that simple,

another great thing about the 501b torch

hi all,,

had the chance last night to try out my nightvision side by side with Rogers (golfshot) NS50, well have to be honest their was only one winner, I was shooting this New perm for the first time and guess what,,in the excitement I forgot my camera, tut tut. anyway safe to say we did well we had 9 in total and could have been a lot more if it wasn,t for the campers faffing about,

best shot of the night had to be Rogers 35yrd one, just befor it went dark a rabbit came screaming out of its burrow and Roger dropped it on the spot , anyway I wont bore you on the rest of the detail , here is a photo of a couple of them,

the ones missing are in the neighbours freezer lol

hi all,

did a test last night with my shooting buddie Jamie to see how the new camera performed in the field on the rabbits, this was jamie,s first rabbit using the new Evo mkIII camera and kit,

please note the picture on the lcd screen was crystal clear but the camera I was recording with struggles to focus in the dark,

its only a short video and this rabbit was 32yrds away so you can see just how bright the torch I am making and camera work together

i know you mentioned last week that you where making the kits... wish i hadnt jumped at building my own... id have prefered one of your kits as i know youd have had everything sorted and all the bits where the right ones

ive almost finished mine today, only got to sort the wiring out now to tidy it up... an amazing setup and so much cheapper than buying the nitesight i was looking at

well done evo on developing this NV (and well done dave on the IR dropins) :good:

on a side note, if anyone is struggling to find a suitable pipe/tube as i was the silcone engine pipes are the dogs danglies, i got a 45mm to 32mm adapter pipe for about 7 quid, with heatsrhink over the top to both tidy its look and stiffen it a bit it is absolutly perfect.. im waiting on a couple of connectors to finish my wiring, when its done ill post pictures of the full setup... in the mean time heres two pics, one of the silicone pipe and one of what it looks like on the gun

link to pipe on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290853703077?var=590101642148&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1116wt_866

pipe has a tacky feel so atracted a ton of dust.. i did clean it before using it

to get mine right i cut an inch of the wide end, i did a test cut on the wrong tube io bought and it was awfull with a hacksaw as the cord starnds inside frayed.. on this tube i used a sharp carving knife and it cut perfect.

under the big heatsrink (got from ebay) i put some adhesive lined over the narrow end, the adhesive lining tightend it up no end. if you want some of the adhesive lined, pm me your address and ill post it tomorrow.. i didnt adhesive line the whole thing as a. it wasnt big enough and b. i wanted some flexibility on the large end to go over the scope.. as i said pm me and enough to do the scopes yours
