12boreblue
Having just read the topic relating to someone going behind a shooters back and getting permission, I have to say that all in all, this sort of behaviour is what really makes me think this country is knackered. Perhaps I come from a surreal world where a man stood up for himself at all costs, and challenged those who were blatantly out of order. It seems common practice in this country in all aspects of life not just shooting, to be...for want of a better word... '**** upon' and then the offender be protected by that person. Not only has the act of not naming this person protected him, his bad behaviour has now been strenghened by the facts that he thinks he has got away with it and been protected by the person he offended. To the one offended please don't come on here moaning about how you lost this or someone did that, and then do nothing about it!!!! To the offender, I hope you lose your licence, soon!. For God's sake can we 'get some nuts' in this country.......

castletyne
I just read the other thread and I may be getting the wrong end of the stick but it says Leslie gave him permission to go any time he wants but he's then seen the farmer and got permission of him if someone said to me I could go anytime I want I would confirm it with the person who owns the land the farmer

For God's sake can we 'get some nuts' in this country....... Couldn't agree more, a country mostly populated by spineless whimps without the gonads to stand up for themselves or what is right , my favourite get output clause for whimps concerning the law is " it's a grey area" !! Which seems favourable for people who don't have the spuds , I had a police officer on a different forum who seemed to think that he didn't need to know the actual law he was arresting people under but was quite happy to go around enforcing what was his personal viewpoint or interpretation of the law , his get out clause was that " it's a grey area" followed by " the law is a legal framework which I work within" and ended with " I have been a serving police officer for 12 years " , these are dangerous times when the police think that they are above the laws they are paid to enforce

But (along with everyone else I suspect) I came to the conclusion that the invitation inferred, 'an invitation to come with me (Leslie).
