al4x
Is anyone else finding there are more than usual about? at a time you would expect them to have had cubs we have had 3 in the last week. All in poor nick or small and no signs of being in milk or having suckled cubs or having any inside them. I have heard other people saying the same but be interesting whether anyone else is finding the same

sako751sg
Only shot two vixens latelyish and one was barren so maybe something in it. Be interesting to hear if other folks are finding the same. It's been a tough winter for everything. Seen it way worse and not really made a noticeable difference but wouldn't rule it oot. Grandalf
Cubs in the earths by now. Nursing vixens not moving about much. They wont leave cubs for about the first three weeks - especially in wet weather. They are being fed by the dogs and barren vixens - usually daughters from last year. So you are much more likely to shoot barren than nursing vixens at this time of the year. Condition is probably due recent bad weather although they usualy do quite well by digging out early rabbit kits.

al4x
Another barren one shortly followed by a dog last night so 3 barren Vixens in 2 weeks on our ground its definitely not normal.
