sitsinhedges
you need to hear one personally to get an idea, I took someone on here out last night to give him an idea and he was very surprised at how quiet it was compared to what he imagined from people posting about them. It was windy and the ground was open so the best possible options for loosing the noise but still it gave him more confidence in what to apply for. Well I've just fitted a scope to my brand new CZ455 laminated thumbhole rifle and SAK moderator so I'll be out after tea to see exactly how loud it is Thanks for all the advice chaps

sitsinhedges
I must also say that when I bought it the ammo seemed a steal for HMR at £20/100 for Hornady 17grain varmint express.

Good shot?
Slide a finger nail to cut paper at top end edge and slide top plastic cover back to reveal first five rounds and turn box to tip out.

Reckon I had a dodgy box, after wrestling with it for an age I picked up another and it just slid straight open.

Have fun with your new toy, pop some target pics up so we can see how your getting on Edited April 23, 2013 by turbo33

Gregthegreat
There is a theory that the sound from an HMR is non directional rather like thunder which seems to answer why rabbits still hang around. Its possible other animals experience the same. That applies to all moderated firearms. Greg. Edited April 23, 2013 by Gregthegreat
