Land Rover Experience

Recommended Posts

Dads birthday the other day, and we bought him a Land Rover Experience at Halewood in Liverpool. There is only three cars he could pick from and is going to go for the Discovery 4 when we come to book it. Has anyone done an Experience day with Land Rover? What are they like? My dad can't wait to have a go haha.

Done this

Had a great day, first I was told about the vehicle what it can and can't do. then took it out on the road. first the land rover guy took the controls to shown you what they can do. then you take control.

then it was a nice drive to the off road track. then you see the ramps and hills, slopes, ditches. you name it was there. he takes you aroud first. then lets you loose.

was a great day

Was this at Halewood or another Experience centre?

Have done it twice at Coniston.

First time was a TDV8 Vogue... yes please if I ever win the lottery.

Second time was a 110 Puma. Also very good.

Can heartily recommend them and learnt a lot too.

We did a one day vehicle familiarisation on the new Discovery at Land Rover Experience Milton Keynes with work. I have to say it really opened my eyes as to the vehicles off road capabilities and in particular the use of the different terrain settings. They really do change the whole set up not only of the suspension but also the throttle, braking and general dynamics of the vehicle (really useful when you spend most of the day plodding up and down the motorway in one  ). The instructors are on the ball and know their stuff. Your dad will have a cracking day and will no doubt spend most of it with a big smile on his face I know we did!
