Yours is hopefully too young to have this problem, but mine developed a similar noise to the one mentioned on the nav forum, linked to, by al4x. It was the ferrous bolts holding the heat shield onto the exhaust down pipe - they had rotted away (!), and were allowing the shield to rattle like a broken cymbal!

I replaced them all with stainless socket heads - M6 x 16, from memory, and the noise is gone - there are a few other head shields underneath which have benefitted from the same treatment too. Damn fine vehicle really, but a little spoilt by penny pinching oversights like this... hey ho....

i am sure you know where to look, but I can try to post a piccie if necessary.......

If it sounds like you have got tin foil rubbing against something, then it is your brake pads which will be warn down to the indicator which makes an annoying sound to make you change your pads.

If the sound is a squeaking noise then i would grease your bonnet catch and put a dab of grease where the two rubber bonnet adjusters meet the body.

Always worth giving a quick spray of wd40 onto the rubber joints of your front steering pinions,if your not sure spray them all.

I haven't found any other squeaks and rattles on my navara, but the forum that is in the link is the place for information.

I have had a couple of these things in the past one that was doing my head it turned out to be a loose lock nut under the gear knob then I had the dead fly in the air vent buzzing as the car went faster I cannot stand things like that you could try the pigeon watch solution just turn the radio up and then you will not hear it. :whistling:
