steve_b_wales
They will work, as I did exactly the same thing, but I used Correx, which is similar to the material used to make Estate agents 'For Sale' signs. I mixed mine in with full body and shell decoys.
eccles
Well done Evo look good mate. Might try some of them, as iv'e said in posts i only use about 15 or so mixed 1/2 and full decoys a few of these to might be just the thing.

As I mentioned Terry, they will work, expecially on Jackdaw's. I have made around 60 decoys out of Correx. I was lucky to have a mate who works in a box making factory, and he gave me a load of offcuts. I'm hoping that I can get some more in a month or two. To get the shape of the Corvid, I just googled 'Crow sillouette' and found quite a few different shapes. I'll put a few pic's of mine on here later. evo
steve I just drew around one of my full crow decoys to get the shape then cut the first one out and then drew around that then jigsaw,d them all out,,i got 15 decoys out of the little bit of ply I had and it took me about an hour to do, I remembered your post from ages ago ,,so thanks mate saved me a small fortune lol
evo
steve I tried them out on wed evening mate and they worked a treat, I didn,t take a rifle with me, I just sat under an oak tree and after 10 mins they where coming from all angles, they work brilliant certainly better than my full bodied ones, and the best of it all was I took 12 with me and they took up as much room as one full bodied decoy so well happy, I,ll be giving them a go in anger Monday as working till then
steve_b_wales
They certainly do work. I've made around 60, but don't put them all out. The good thing, as you said, is that they weigh next to nothing. This is the link that I used to get the shape of the decoys. I printed a few off onto stiff card, then cut around the shape. The material I used was Correx, and was already black in colour when I had it given to me. Good luck with your shooting. Steve.
steve0146
Love it. Glad some more crows are getting shot! They do work well, spaced out a bit, with a hole in the middle of the pattern for the birds to land in. I traced around the outside of a full body to make mine. I don't have the means no how or the patience to undertake such a task. Terrible at anything DIY. I do an a lot on the crows and would love to give a dozen a bash Karpman
