Axe
I have just upgraded to IE 7 and do like it very much, especially the tabbed browsing. However, on install it loads up a one time only page after installation and gets you to set your initial settings. One of these settings is something to do with making the page content look better. It seems to change the font so it appears more like a true type font, but I actually thinks this looks worse. I've checked through all the settings I can find and can't seem to turn this off. Does anyone know how to switch this option off? Thanks guys.

dazzyboi
IE7 is a load of ****, i much prefer firefox, its alot better, better functionality, you know where everything is unlike IE7 which is basically trying to copy the firefox browser, but didnt pull it off. Dave-G
Can't answer that for you Axe - but I didn't like IE7 so uninstalled it in add and remove. You could maybe the reinstall it and not select that option?

al4x
I had this Axe, ended up uninstalling it and sticking with Maxathon far more user friendly
Axe
Thanks Pin I knew you'd have the answer. I am enjoying the new version so far. Things are in deifferent places but it doesnt take long to figure out whats what. I love the new tab view controls. Saves me having a number of open windows on my start bar. pin
If that doesn't work, start->control panel->display properties->appearance and click the Effects button to the bottom right. Make sure "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" box is ticked, and it shows "ClearType" in the box. It might be you have it switched on and don't like it, if so simply select standard in the same box, or uncheck the box
Axe
Pin i've run the tuner and the font now looks great. I was trying to explain to colleagues at work that it looked out of focus and colourful, they thought I was going mad, until I showed them the zoomed image.
