kyska
Mowing my lawn, which I do more often that I should, which means this hole has appeared pretty quickly. Anyone know what dug it? Its pretty far into the lawn, I'm surprised that my large farm cat, or the obsessive-compulsive patterdale haven't ripped my lawn to bits. Any ideas? kyska
Proberbly a rat . Particularly if you have a bird feeder in the garden . They will hole up near a food source . Harnser . No bird feeders as I'm one of the hated members who homes a cat, I don't encourage song birds sadly, he's (the Kat) is worth his weight. Can you see the other 2 holes? A vole or field mice. It seems a bit big for a mouse, the holes are fairly large. clothes prop

JustJon
I emptied the compost heap, fogged the holes and refilled. Wasn't slot I could do about chickens - suspect food was not well stored or being spread ad lib.

kyska
let the patterdale have a sniff he or she will let you know if anything is there Just been to feed the caeds. I don;t think this is conclusive, bear in mind he gets a rollocking for digging when he's let in the garden. The holes are everywhere. I'm going to try a 'Cat Scan'

ack-ack
The patterdale test was only inconclusive as there were no critters in residence. Regardless of rollickings for lawn digging he'd have been in like flynn if there were signs of life i'm sure. They're well game, i love em. Doing it now..... Have the mutt on hand ready to patternate!!!!
