TJ91
Have a 1.8 corsa that seems to be ill. When I start it first thing its revving above usual tick over, by approx 500rpm, if I set off it judders and stalls..I leave it running for about a minute the revs settle and it drives off fine... I Also, when I am accelerating, steadily or rapidly it has a few slight pauses and almost slows then jerks (for a split second) and goes again, it does this at around 2500rpm and 4000rpm. any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

Gordon R
Do you know anyone with a code reader nearby? Shame you aren't in North West, as you could have used mine.
delburt0
I had this fault on a 18 Astra tried all of the above , it was hard as it wasn't throwing a code, ended up a faulty automatic choke sensor, 6 quid and sorted , shame I spent 300 before this.. :( if it does it every time you start just out of curiosity take a plug lead off and see if it finds its own idle speed if it does I'd look at the sensor ....if the sensor is playing up it will keep kicking in flooding the engine if your running on 3 pots it should not stall and start ok Edited July 6, 2013 by delburt0
