Ropemunky
As title says. Can I use a cordless drill with a roll turnover tool? Or will I just make a mess? Edited July 8, 2013 by Ropemunky
sitsinhedges
I think it will do it fine but you may struggle with holding the RTO square to the shell mouth and you also wont have a depth stop that the drill press has to make them all identical. Holding the shell may also be a problem. Still it is doable
B B
Sitsinhedges is right its hard to keep it square enough a good idea i thought about doing was get a drill press stand that takes a normal hand drill you see them from time to time at car boots or autojumbles they are cheap and would do the job you need pefectly well, the cordless drills slow controlable switch would make a good job or roll turning. Underdog
I made two pieces of wood held together at one end with thin sheet metal srewed to the two ends and then drill between the two pieces with a drill a little smaller than the case. This alows the case to be gripped by hand with these tongues easily. With a hand drill instead of trying to hold it square do a slow circular motion with the drill hand. U. I was thinking of somthing quite similar to this. Maybe a hinged jig that holds half a dozen cases, but only leaving say the top half inch of the case length protruding so this gives you a quarter inch turnover and a depth stop. Does this seem feasible?
Underdog
Very feasable...why not :-) U.

langlands
I think you must keep the RPM under 250 otherwise you will heat up and burn the plastic.

00buck
I had an old roll tool that I did a mod on so I could use a drill on it and did away with the handel gr8 if you were loading a lot of ammo
Breastman
As long as you're not planning on doing 100's of cartridges every day just buy a £20-30 drill press stand from Amazon or fleabay This guy does some good reloading videos;
