AR-15 vs AK-47 car door penetration.

Recommended Posts

I only watched this for the eye candy. Ahhhh the American dream. On a side note. It was a pretty pointless test. Its been known for years the AK is better for penetration but the AR15/M16 is accurate to greater distances. Its all became apparent during the vietnam war.

Ah yes but in Vietnam the AR had issues due to lack of penetration. The viet cong AK's would fire through branches of trees etc as where the AR's would ricochet all over the place!

Indeed! Also, M16s needed cleaning and maintenance, whereas the AK could be abused and covered in **** and still work perfectly.

Another advantage to the AK was it was made from heavy steel and wood, which can be used as a club type attack in hand to hand combat. The M16 on the other hand was made of synthetic plastic. It wasnt the best thing to whack someone around the head with
