Hamster
I have managed to put a tear in my Barbour .... It stems from the pockets starting to rip... Has anyone used the Barbour repair service? Yes I have and they are superb, reasonably priced and efficient return post service. The world would be a better place if every company was like them. Dangerous Brian
Got the sleeves lengthened on mine a month or so ago. It took them a couple of months to do and there seemed to be a lot of duplication in the paperwork sent out to me. Could just have been a one off/ bad day at their office though. Quality of the alteration is very good but they did sting me for a rewax "to blend the new with the old". The jacket didn't look any different as I had not long waxed it before sending it off! Would definitely use them for a repair.
TIGHTCHOKE
I had one fixed by them years ago! Great service as you would expect.
samboy
Iv'e just checked their prices to repair my jacket and it comes to approx £103. I think i would rather buy a new one. In saying that the new ones dont seem to be as good as the old ones.
masmiffy
Used them years back to completely re-vamp my old Solway jacket. From memory they will quote for the repairs required and you can say yes or no. Was well worth what it cost me at the time. I all I recon the jacket is now about 30 years old!! happypig
Well just received my jacket from repair.... An amazing job which must have involved unstitching most if the jacket They repaired both sides and to my amazement I was only charged £50 including a rewax.... Using Barbour 's calculator I was expecting a bill of £120 The old jacket now has its second lease of life and battle scars

On the couple of times I've send my jackets back, they've been returned saying that they wouldn't be economical to repair!! Not surprised really!!!
