Issues on a new permission

Following the post I put up last night with regard to offering some shooting on a new permission, I went out to have a look last night and found the following issues. I've already sent an email to the club chairman about this but I'd be interested to know how you guys would handle it and what you would recommend.

I had a bit of a look around to see where the rabbits ran to and, from what I can make out, there seemed to be 3 warrens. The main one is adjacent to some woods which the local teenagers use as a cut through from the skate park on the other side. There are 3 cut throughs at approximately 20ft, 30ft and 40ft from this warren. They take the line (the teenagers) which runs right in front of another warren over towards some houses where the go through another broken down fence to get out.

As I walked around the field I was on the far side when I saw three teenage girls come through and stood for several minutes in the field talking. I'm sure you can see the issue here. If they didn't get accidently shot they'd probably set on me and whoever I was shooting with because we would be shooting the poor, defenceless, little bunnies. Aggro! Not to mention the old bill turning up I shouldn't wonder.

We took on a new permission a few months ago from a farmer begging for help due to the "large rabbit problem" he had on one field.

I had heard it all before but seeing is believing...turns out that he had a very large rabbit problem.

We were unable to get the ferrets in to the great many holes that were in deep ditches and covered in nettles etc.

Fenny said he would cover it with the .17 HMR as it was a mile from his house, the main issues were large green houses to the left and a road in front....every shot taken was never easy and the risk factor considered prior to pulling the trigger had to be taken on each kill.

We stopped off at this field after our pigeon shooting yesterday and managed seven on a short drive up and down the field....then Fenny said "do you know how many rabbits we have had off this field so far" I could not answer?....."that seven takes the total over 300" he said.

First of all credit where it is due, good shooting Fenny.

Doc Holiday, you will be able to work it out and I think rabbit will be a bigger part of our shooting if this year is an indication of what's ahead for us.

Picture below is from last night, Fenny with HMR on a netting bag for support...shooting well.
