Fib new
I know this issue past not to long ago, but because I'm using the mobile version I cannot find the topic again.... So..., as posted -what oil for cleaning and maintaining the semi auto system?- not the barrel. After cleaning, I now use ptfe -teflon- spray very sparsely. Anyone better idea or is this ok? Livefast123
I use Castrol Edge 5w30 fully synthetic, apply very sparsely and works a treat. Oh and as I use it in the car it's free!
chesterse
Legia spray and then blow suplus off with an air line, have had over 2000 shots through my Beretta Urika 2 without a jam.
gazbev
A spray with a solvent to dissolve the carbon,I have used legia or napier there are lots on the market and a very light spray before you assemble,if you are cleaning the action use the sprays then thoroughly clean off then very small spots of lubricating oil (I have used 3in1 but I will go along with castrol edge )on parts that hinge slide or turn Edited August 11, 2013 by gazbev
tedster
Large can of automotive brake cleaner to remove the carbon and gunk, cheap and really effective! Automotive air-line oil as a lubricant, the oil you put in air tools, works a treat.
figgy
I use napier and wd40 to clean with the wd40 is good on the carbon. Legia spray on reassembly as it just oil with no cleaners or stuff in it. Synthetic engine oil is good in the heat of fired carts in chamber and action. figgy

figgy
You need to see if your gun will run dry, mine won't as its still new only had a few hundred through it, so needs a bit of oil on slides in action. Soon as it will ill wipe oil off on reassembly. Figgy
