Day on the woodies

Had a day out on Wednesday with John at action pigeons, this was my first day out on live quarry after a year and half of perfecting my 'art' on clays... What an eye opener it was, bit of a game changer to me, the rush and excitement was just so addictive with johns advice and enthusiasm topping it off... To start the day we went on some laid barley, rattled a couple off in their general direction (missed, trying to get myself out of clay mode and into the swing of pigeon shooting) the barley soon slowed off and John moved us onto some freshly cut rape in another part of his kingdom, for which they started to come in a bit thicker and had a good afternoons sport. With the help of Jena his lab they soon came into the hide. What a dog! At the end of the day went home with a big ol' smile on my face and back with that fresh addiction I had when I first started claying and cannot wait to be booking in for another day with action pigeons.

good shooting pal, correct me if ime wrong but the bird on the bottom right looks like its been on the magnet all day  cheers simon

The reason the bird is stiff is its a freshly shot bird put on a bouncer for a few hrs. One that matt shot. He did very well for his first go on Pigeons.

A very well done matt, see you again soon.
