sitsinhedges
Went to have a look at some freshly cut rape stubble today but to be honest there wasn't a bird to be seen on it, just a very weak flightline running over. Should have avoided it like the plague really, fields like this are rarely worth the bother but with no where else to go I thought I would give it an hour and see. The birds that did come over ended up decoying brilliantly and I ended up with 41 in the bag a few hours later. Really pleased with my shooting, used 64 homeloaded cartridges thru the Husher pulling off some great rangey kills too. I used the Husher as I was close to a village and didn't want to go annoying anyone though I doubt they even realised I was there. Not a red letter day but it's good to get some decent sport on the stubbles at last. The new net looks great too

JDog
Considering how much stubble there is about at the moment that was a very good bag.
