BRNDL
So, After a kind invitation from Pigeon man to have a morning on the crows we discussed the itinerary and it went as follows. Meet up at Joes house for 6.30. Both times I have met joe he has always had a brew in hand walking out the front door and this time I am glad he didn't disappoint! A quick alreet and a hand shake then we unloaded my gear into his new disco inc his superb lab Hugo and headed for the crows. We arrived at his perm, joe went off to meet and greet then we drove into the farm and began to set up. We threw the full bodies out but the grass was pretty darn long so we put a few on the newly trimmed hedge row. We tucked into the well trodden fence line and got the stealth net up and waited for some action. It wasn't long before we started dropping them, but it was very very quiet according to Joe. We came to the conclusion maybe a field had been cut nearby and most of the crows were there. They were flightng past consistently but were not interested in the decoys or calls. We had some great sporting shots and Joe bagged a couple that I had already written off as unshootable! Haha. That lad! A left to right suicide wood pigeon came screaming past and I just managed to swing the barrels through and drop it in the next field. That went on the BBQ that evening! Hugo was out on the dead uns keeping Joe on his toes! What a great team they both are! Quality. We ended up with just shy of 40 crows and 1 of the plumpest pigeons to every encounter my 32g 6s. To sum up, great guy - great shooting Thanks Joe, BRNDL ( I will upload pics tomorrow)

eccles
Well done both of you. Nice write up Shooting crows is just like pigeon shooting sometime they just don't want to come in to the decoys. On other days they just keep on coming in as if they got a death wish. atvb to you both Terry
