matt24584
Hi all I went pigeon decoying with Norfolk Shoots for the first time yesterday had a really good time thanks to a brilliant guide Bob. At the end of the day I ended up with 40 picked birds. I have kept a few for decoys next time I go how many times can you re- freeze them before they need changing or do you change them out for fresh ones each time you go? motty
Pigeons can be frozen/thawed a few times before they need to be chucked. When they start to look really ropey, that's the time to get rid.

Cranfield
I also refreeze my dead bird decoys and use them quite a few times, especially in the Winter months, when they hardly thaw out during the day. That assumes they are not looking too tatty.
The Essex Hunter
These have been out twice on the rotary, when they look past their sell buy date I replace them for a fresh pair! Where the cradle hooks through the joint it allows the flight feathers to move as it spins around with that all important movement!!
