Have been looking around/scouting for ducks and have noticed not a great deal of mallard and teal are staying on the foreshore, these birds all seem to be heading for fed ponds.

My question is should I shoot the birds flighting into the pond or out of the pond as I thought this is the only way I'm going to get any sport this season

All the best Strangford wildfowler.

Was out yesterday morning seen one mallard a 150 yards away, them went out last night seen a load of golden plover and right few mallard and teal.

Today would have been good for fowling Its pouring rain and blowing a gale but no shooting on a Sunday :-(

Your right DR D there r to many ponds, and again your right about the wigeon I've only seen wigeon in good numbers down at dundrum bay.

Although there is a good head of geese about at the mo they are far to high for a shot, what's it like up your way at the minute?
