ive got quite good at necking birds now as ive had quite a bit of practice this year in a good or bad way which ever way you want to look at it, but i necked a crow the other day, i couldn't believe how tough its god dam neck was ,may be a priest would of been handy, but i would be looking for my fly rod when i put it back down instead of my browning sporter,ha ha atb simon

This is what a priest looks like for boys and girls who have a habit of pulling heads off birdsattachicon.gifpriest 023.jpgattachicon.gifpriest 023.jpg

That looks like a nice peice of kit the last time I had to kill a black bird with a broken wing I gave it a pull and twist but it did not do the job so I did it again and pulled its head off made me feel quite sick.

really the only way to dispatch birds is to spin and flick the birds ...you cant be messing about in the hide with taking it off the dog ..holding the gun getting a priest or whatever machine out of your pocket blah..blah blah....i do understand a lot of people are squeamish as they can feel the birds beak in their hand etc...just get used to it ...you will pull a few heads off to begin with, its the quickest way to do it............if the queen can do it im sure you can
