BRNDL
We shouldn't be chipping in for anything. It needs to be laid out for those that confirmed and then retracted their availability, or just didn't respond. Nobody will get stuck for a bill on their own. BRNDL
Just read the messages, ignore my PM's Daz. We may still owe Rob yet for the venue. He will let us know tomorrow what the plan is for settling this payment.
jeff8861
Having never been involved in this type of stuff I was really looking forward to the night and having already put in a days holiday could something less informal still be arranged up here in the NE just a suggestion
northeastshooter
I might be able to get a small venue for a small fee on Friday waiting to hear back tomorrow if anybody is still up for this bring your own meat nothing supplied so far can I have definite numbers to see if this is worth while please not its a village hall no bar but cheap room hire and a good kitchen for this. I believe room hire will be £30 ish plus the cost of the butcher ATB Chris

colin lad
i was not going to this or involved in any way but having done 2 of these for the southern pw community and with another one on march 1st i can say that these take a lot of organising and those that put their names down saying they would defiantly go only to drop out be ashamed hope you get something sorted lads colin
ben0850
I've not commented on this thread, I hadn't even thought about attending let alone confirmed I would but as a northern PW member I'm willing to help cover the abortive costs if someone has been left "holding the baby" so to speak. ROBLATCH
been in contact with the club the venue was to be held at today and been notified there will be a £50 charge for cancelation. i have no way around this as the same venue i have booked for my wedding in august this year, and refusing to do so would cost me £1000s understandable the club could have had the venue booked on that date. bakerboy
I was one that dropped out albeit some while ago. It is a great shame, and yes no one should be out of pocket. If there is a tab to pick up, I m happy to pay my part. I am glad that I had not booked a train and hotel etc. as had I planned , Many thanks to those that offered to pick me up and drop me off, I will do my very best to support you if you arrange another, this time with deposits. Sempers
Disappointing from a personal point of view, but I'm sure more so for the chaps who have put time and effort in to this. I'll help with the venue costs though.
