daz2202
Well. Just sorted out the decoys, hide etc and hoping they are gonna be on the rape my way tomorrow morning. Not be out for pigeons since harvest. Time to rest up the rifles and get the 12 out. Looking forward to it. (Even if I just watch the sky for a few hours)

fendrover90
As la bala said our rape has got away very well this year with hardly any damage .greens will get a hammering before long seen quite a few on beet toppings and a few starting to get on some cauliflower and Brussels rape will probably be a waste of time again this winter but hay ho
daz2202
Well. It was a windy chilly morning. A few about but not really interested. Only got one shot off (missed) it was like a torpedo with the wind up his chuff. Still better than sitting indoors. Only strange sighting was plod wandering across the field in hi via jackets. When they got up to me 1 of them asked 'are you bird watchers' I looked at my mate raised my brow. Looked back at the copper and said 'yes' the coppers response was 'aaarrr that's ok then. We had a report of 2 blokes with guns coursing hares' No just us here I said. The other copper then asked if the magnet and decoys was there to scare pigeons away so we could see different types of birds !!! I agreed and off they went Now we were sat in a ditch wearing camo. 2 springers in the hide and guns on our laps, and they asked those questions. Michael170874
Just shot 78 birds with the air rifle on beech mast ,thousands of em might as well leave the shotgun at home cos rapes way too high and there's plenty of food in the woods ie,acorns beech mast,
